Фотографии последнего бала в истории Российской Империи и жизни царской семьи Романовых

13 февраля 1903 года – дата, которая вошла в историю Российской Империи, как день последнего костюмированного бала при дворе. Роскошное мероприятие император Николай II приурочил к 290-летию дома Романовых. Он хотел вернуть традицию таких вечеров в жизнь своих придворных.

На костюмированный вечер было приглашено почти 400 человек. Все из высшего общества. Гости надели русские национальные костюмы образца XVII века. Согласно историческим сведениям, этот бал стал одним из самых дорогостоящих… Наряды для вечера шили лучшие портные Империи, а сам бал был проведен в Зимнем дворце.
