Innocent dogs abandoned in the desert couldn’t believe their luck

Hope for Paws recently received a call informing them about two dogs abandoned in the desert.

Alex Babcock and Joann Wiltz immediately drove to the spot to rescue the dogs. When they reached the location, they met Andrew there.

Andrew had earlier adopted Hippo, a rescued dog, and was the one to find the two dogs in the desert. He was working nearby on a property when he saw the abandoned dogs. Alex, Joann, and Andrew greeted each other, after which he took the rescuers to meet the two dogs.

The dogs started barking at the rescuers. However, the kind women gained their trust by giving them pieces of a cheeseburger to enjoy. Initially, the dogs were skeptical about the approaching strangers. However, they couldn’t resist the tempting smell of the burger and finally decided to go near the two women.

They named the dogs Ragnar and Ronin. While feeding Ragnar, Alex quickly and quietly put a leash around the dog’s neck. She did the same trick with Ronin. However, the dogs didn’t mind the leash and kept wagging their tails happily.

The rescuers petted the dogs for a while and then took them to their van. The dogs followed Alex, who had the bag of burgers in her hands. Andrew threw a piece of the cheeseburger in a cage placed on the ground, and Ronin went after it inside the big cage. They trapped him securely inside. First, however, they had to pick up Ragnar and put him inside his cage, which was inside the van.

Soon, the rescuers drove away with the two dogs to Los Angeles. After reaching the rescue center, both Ragnar and Ronin received bubble baths. They enjoyed their bathing sessions. After getting appropriately cleaned, the dogs felt nice and fresh.
